Smokey Moon

Last week we experienced a surreal haze as what seemed like half of British Columbia burned next door.  The wind blew the smoke from 300 forest fires into Alberta and reduced our air quality to that of an industrial smog-town.  As a photographer, there is always a silver lining!  Check out this fireball sunset through the gloom.  Sure makes you appreciate the clean, bright atmosphere that is our usual privilege.  Let’s not muck it up.

  1. I remember seeing how the moon looked that time too. Great photograph, I like the simplicity. Would you be able to post your contest winning photo? I’d love to see it.
